INTENT

At MAHPS, our PSHE curriculum is designed to equip pupils with the essential life skills needed to navigate the modern world confidently and responsibly. Through engaging lessons, we focus on developing self-confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose, helping pupils set personal goals and recognise their potential. Using the Kapow Primary scheme, our coherent and progressive curriculum encourages pupils to explore topics such as health, relationships, well-being, and digital safety. Starting with foundational knowledge in EYFS and expanding to complex societal issues in Key Stage 2, our curriculum is aligned with national standards and the latest educational research. We aim to foster respectful, informed, and compassionate individuals, prepared to thrive in diverse and inclusive communities.

In order to meet the aims of the PSHE curriculum and in response to the latest educational research, we have identified the following key strands:

Please see below our curriculum overviews. These include all the core knowledge and skills your children will be taught along each stage of their historical journey.
