Positive Behaviour Policy

Our whole school policy is shared, understood and promoted by all staff and children. It is essential to ensure a consistent approach. A leaflet explaining our approach is given to all parents when children are admitted.

Our Positive Behaviour Policy encourages children to carry out our behaviour rules.

Pupils play their part in the success of the school through their good behaviour, a readiness to learn and attendance levels that continue to rise. Pupils feel safe, valued and repected.

Children are rewarded for good behaviour by special praise or negotiated rewards, and we keep a record of special achievements. A range of sanctions operate for children who do not respond and where appropriate we will discuss this with parents.

If parents experience problems with their child’s behaviour at home we can discuss it with you and suggest other agencies which may be able to help.

The school’s new systems for managing pupils’ behaviour are effective; pupils behave well and value the praise and reward they receive.
