Nursery
Provision for children aged between 0 and 5 years of age is known as the Early Years and Foundation Stage (EYFS). In a State Maintained School with a nursery, such as ours, we offer provision to children from the age of 3 years old. All 3-4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours free pre-school provision each week during term time.
The pre-school nursery is an educational facility to provide children with essential preparation for school. We cannot provide hot meals and sleep facilities so it is not suitable as a full day child care provision.
In our nursery we offer the 15 hours on a flexible basis to meet the needs of more of our families. Our N1 children, who have just turned three, are usually only offered morning or afternoon sessions. When children are in their year before school, our N2 children, families are given a wider range of options to help children get ready for full days in reception classes. Please make a preference for the option which will suit your needs
You can choose between:
- AM Option - 5 morning sessions - Monday-Friday 8.30-11.30am
- PM Option - 5 afternoon sessions - Monday-Friday 12.30-3.30pm
The above 2 options are available to all nursery children but they are the ones most suitable for 3 year olds in the N1 year. N2 children (in their year before starting school) can also make use of the following options:
- Flexi 1 Option - Monday and Tuesday 8.30am-3.30pm and Wednesday morning 8.30-11.30am
- Flexi 2 Option - Wednesday afternoon 12.30-3.30pm and Thursday and Friday 8.30am-3.30pm
- Flexi 3 Option - Bespoke package upto a maximum of 35 hours (Priority for this option would be given to working families who have an eligibility 30hr code from HMRC)
If you would like to register your child's details onto our waiting list or discuss options please contact Kayleigh Barrass in our school office.
