Year 6 Residential to London

Houses of Parliament...

When we went to the Houses of Parliament Year 6 learnt a lot of new things like when King Henry VIII got a tennis ball stuck in the roof of West Minister Hall. Mr. Hamilton (our local M.P.) told us a really funny joke about the English, Welsh, Irish and Scottish. Rowan commented ‘’ I thought the Houses of Parliament was very interesting”.      article here

The Lion King Show...

After our bus tour, we headed to Pineapple Studios to do a Lion King workshop. During the workshop we were given scripts to follow and we had to perform them in front of everyone else when we had practised them. After we had performed, the coaches gave us silly and sensible ways to make it better or funnier.

Tour of London...

On the second day of our trip, we had a bus tour around the part of London that we were in. It wasn’t the best activity of our residential, but at least some people enjoyed it. The tour guide told us some facts about the places we visited on the tour. Some of them were funny and interesting, but others, not so much!

Our trip to London...

We were all incredibly excited as we boarded the coach that would take us on an amazing trip to London - some of us for the very first time. Read on to hear about the amazing sights and adventures we experienced.

Natural History Museum...

On the very last day of our residential, we visited the Natural History Museum. It was absolutely amazing - I think everyone would agree. It was a good end to our residential with a lot of amazing facts and things to do.

The River Cruise...

At the end of the second day, we went on a river cruise on the River Thames. Our tour guide was very funny and he told us lots of funny and interesting facts about the places that we saw.article here

Lion King Workshop...

In our first afternoon of residential, we visited the Lyceum Theatre and saw Lion King.  Everyone enjoyed the show and Miss Fearon (a member of staff that went with us on residential) had someone sleeping on her shoulder, only waking up at the end of each song! Overall, though, it was a good (some people's favourite even) activity and part of our residential.
